World population rejects climate change
A UN poll of more than 6 million people worldwide has ranked climate change at the very bottom of their list of priorities, with getting a good education at the top of the poll.
Climate change ranked higher in the more affluent nations such as the U.S. and the U.K., but overall was not given much importance.
On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.
The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.
The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.
"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

Historically proven to be hysterical:

This guy in 2007 makes a statement of FACT, “If we survive”.
My prediction? In 50 to 75 years as the natural cycle of the earth continues without much consideration for what man does or does nor do there will be a COLD trend and once again the earth will trend into an age of cold and ice and these same magpies will then demand that there be more oil drilled for and burnt in order to “Save” the earth!
These people are nuts, both in the science that they are attached to and their politics.
I think the hysteria has failed because it became clear it was being over politicized and monetized.
It was clear one side of the political aisle declared this as a key topic, while at the same time trying to demonize the opposition as being in favor of dirty air, dirty water, and planetary destruction. Only hardened rubes fall for that kind of demagoguery.
It is also clear that they want your money. The carbon credit trading scheme is a money making system for those that invest, and a killer for the little guy, economically speaking. The question “why does fixing the planet always require me to give up my hard earned money” resonates with most people.
I personally was told that accepting pollution was bad, and that we should all try to live cleaner lives was not acceptable. I must accept the climate change claims 100% and then, and only then, can I claim to truly care about the planet. My failure to accept this only proved that I too, desired dirty air (that my family and I breathe) and dirty water (that we also drink).
