Barry McGuire – Eve of Destruction
An evening pause: Performed live in 2011. Somehow this seems appropriate at the moment.

In order to remain completely independent and honest in my writing, I accept no sponsorships from big space companies or any political organizations. Nor do I depend on ads.
Instead, I rely entirely on the generosity of readers to keep Behind the Black running. You can either make a one time donation for whatever amount you wish, or you sign up for a monthly subscription ranging from $2 to $15 through Paypal, or $3 to $50 through Patreon, or any amount through Zelle.
The best method to donate or subscribe is by using Zelle through your internet bank account, since it charges no fees to you or I. You will need to give my name and email address (found at the bottom of the "About" page). What you donate is what I get.
To use Patreon, go to my website there and pick one of five monthly subscription amounts, or by making a one-time donation.

Interesting.
A protest strong from the Vietnam era.
I always that it amusing that the protest songs were mainly written and sung by folks that never set foot in a war zone. There are exceptions, but the majority never did.
The guys that were actually there, however, took the names of popular songs for their own purposes.

Tanks were too heavy for a lot of the roads, and wheeled vehicles moved easier and farther, so gun trucks were built by the men that faced danger in real life, as apposed to the imagined dangers thousands of miles away here.
Don’t forget the rebuttal:

Andi: I suspect you realize this, but my point in posting this was to illustrate the panicky illogic of the 1960s anti-war movement, which is the same panicky illogic that is causing our problems today with the Wuhan flu.
…thousands of miles from there.
Mr Z, I need an editing tool for when I type in my tablet. Stupid virtual keyboards never work right.
