“Whose side are you on?”

Fourteen years ago I wrote that SLS and Orion were a bad ideas, a waste of money, would be years behind schedule, and better replaced by commercial private enterprise. Even today NASA and Congress refuse to recognize this reality.
In 2020 when the world panicked over COVID I wrote that the panic was unnecessary, that the virus was apparently simply a variation of the flu, that masks were not simply pointless but if worn incorrectly were a health threat, that the lockdowns were a disaster and did nothing to stop the spread of COVID. Only in the past year have some of our so-called experts in the health field have begun to recognize these facts.

I recently heard an interview with a man that went to Columbia with the president, he stated
that when he met him he suggested that they get together to discuss their differences (he
being a known conservative on campus) his comments on the meeting were that Mr. Obama
said to him ” your that conservative who thinks everybody should have a gun, I don’t believe
anyone should have a gun” Mr. Obama or Barry said and he dismissed the idea that they get
together and discuss anything. I have no problem believing his account (I forget his name but
he was being interviewed by Mark Simon on WOR a couple of days ago.)
My assessment of the president is that he is a most un American president, by heritage and
sensibility, and is steeped in liberal / socialism and is a student of Marx, an American version
of the three. (not that theres anything wrong with that, he is a true believer)
As a matter of course the Constitution along with its Bill Of Rights must be one big pain in the
ass to someone of that mind set and its something that must be deconstructed and
reassembled in the “proper way”. The funny thing about the Constitution is that it contains the
means of its own destruction, where everyone is offended by someone else and everyone
becomes a litigant.
We must be hopeful that the Constitution can withstand this assault, and in addition, if you
want to restrict or elliminate guns rights the process exists within the document to change it.
So if you are convinced that the founders were incorrect about the issue then CHANGE IT!
There is a reason our constitution has no eraser marks.
Its so our future generations can see, every time that look at the constitution, all the amendments passed throughout time and all the times those amendments were then found to be in error and thus corrected with a later amendment.
If they attempt to redefine or change the second amendment in any way it will be remembered for all history.
If and when it is changed (I do not believe it will be or needs to be) then America is over !
The second amendment is a key part of the counter balance to the abuse of power that is in
mans nature, the founders basically mandated the the populous be armed, and it was not due
to the need to hunt.
This should be the test: When human DNA changes then let the second amendment be
changed, until then it needs to remain in effect.
(and it does not matter what goes on in any other country on this planet, their standard is not
the American standard)
If american citizens no longer have the right to self defense, impicit in the 2nd Amendment, then no one, including police officers, federal agents or the secret service have the right to bear arms either. Using their logic, only the military (i.e. a well armed militia) can be armed. Now, that’s a pretty sticky wicket, isn’t it?

We should get tougher on people who buy guns with the express purpose of turning around and selling them to criminals. And we should severely punish anybody who helps them do this.”

The problem with that is that the militia comes from the populous and the populous is the militia.
The simplisity of the Constitution is the “problem”, it recognizes an American citizens naturally
born rights, it does not recognize the rights that the government bestows on the people and
therefore the government can not take back what they do not give.
The objective logic of the Founders is unassailable.
The militia act or 1792 helped define who and what was the militia at the time of the writing of the US Constitution.
I believe that each amendment(the first ten) was protected by the succeeding amendment.
The first is protected by the second, the second by the third, and so on.
If we weaken in any way or even remove any of them the whole thing falls like a house of cards.
Our for fathers really did think them through and wrote them well.
Someone pointed out that if they can take away our 2nd Amendment rights, they can take away ANY of our Constitutionally guaranteed rights – including the 1st Amendment right of Free Speech. Just recently, we saw that case of someone being told they only had free speech rights within a certain area, which was just flabbergasting…
Americans of both parties, must, are obligated, to shake off their comfortable stupor and
become outraged at the foolish and dangerous agendas being pursued by their government
and the representatives they empower.
