Readers! A November fund-raising drive!

It is unfortunately time for another November fund-raising campaign to support my work here at Behind the Black. I really dislike doing these, but 2025 is so far turning out to be a very poor year for donations and subscriptions, the worst since 2020. I very much need your support for this webpage to survive.

And I think I provide real value. Fifteen years ago I said SLS was garbage and should be cancelled. Almost a decade ago I said Orion was a lie and a bad idea. As early as 1998, long before almost anyone else, I predicted in my first book, Genesis: The Story of Apollo 8, that private enterprise and freedom would conquer the solar system, not government. Very early in the COVID panic and continuing throughout I noted that every policy put forth by the government (masks, social distancing, lockdowns, jab mandates) was wrong, misguided, and did more harm than good. In planetary science, while everyone else in the media still thinks Mars has no water, I have been reporting the real results from the orbiters now for more than five years, that Mars is in fact a planet largely covered with ice.

I could continue with numerous other examples. If you want to know what others will discover a decade hence, read what I write here at Behind the Black. And if you read my most recent book, Conscious Choice, you will find out what is going to happen in space in the next century.

This last claim might sound like hubris on my part, but I base it on my overall track record.

So please consider donating or subscribing to Behind the Black, either by giving a one-time contribution or a regular subscription. I could really use the support at this time. There are five ways of doing so:

1. Zelle: This is the only internet method that charges no fees. All you have to do is use the Zelle link at your internet bank and give my name and email address (zimmerman at nasw dot org). What you donate is what I get.

2. Patreon: Go to my website there and pick one of five monthly subscription amounts, or by making a one-time donation. Takes about a 10% cut.

3. A Paypal Donation or subscription, which takes about a 15% cut:

4. Donate by check. I get whatever you donate. Make the check payable to Robert Zimmerman and mail it to

Coordinated bomb threats against Jewish schools and community centers

While the left worries about Islamaphobia: Coordinated bomb threats occurred yesterday against numerous Jewish schools and community centers in the U.S. and Great Britain, forcing the evacuation of thousands.

Jewish schools across the United Kingdom were placed on alert after bomb threats were called into metro London Jewish schools in Roehampton, Ilford and Brent on Monday morning. The schools were “warned” that explosive devices had been planted on the premises. Thorough searches were conducted at all three sites and other schools were placed on precautionary lock-downs until the “all clear” was received. Bomb threats were also called in to a few non-Jewish schools as well, according to the British Jewish Chronicle news site. “Police were alerted at around 10:30am hrs on Monday, 9 January, to phone calls made to schools in Roehampton, Ilford and Brent in which bomb threats were made. Police officers attended the schools. All three incidents were stood down a short time later. An investigation into the threat will be conducted,” Metropolitan Police said in a statement.

Meanwhile, in the United States, bomb threats were called into Jewish Community Centers (JCC)s in Delaware, Tenafly, New Jersey; Miami Beach and Jacksonville, Florida; in Rockville, Maryland; in West Nashville, Tennessee, and Columbia, South Carolina. In Delaware, police were called to search the Siegel Jewish Community Center north of Wilmington on Monday, after a bomb threat was called into the facility at around 11:45 am.

This story has gotten practically no coverage, even though it indicates a very serious and widespread threat that could very easily morph into real bombs very soon. Instead, the focus is on the Democrat protesters who appeared at congressional hearings for Jeff Sessions, Trump’s attorney general nominee, dressed most appropriately as KKK members. They were trying to imply they supported Sessions and he supported the KKK, but I think they merely proved that Democrats are very comfortable dressing as KKK members and expressing racist opinions. They certainly do not seem to have a problem with Islamic terrorism, oppression, and bigotry.

Genesis cover

On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.

The print edition can be purchased at Amazon or from any other book seller. If you want an autographed copy the price is $60 for the hardback and $45 for the paperback, plus $8 shipping for each. Go here for purchasing details. The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.

The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.

"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

I noticed the cameras all swiveled to get pictures of the democrat KKK morons as soon as they revealed themselves and started heckling the Sessions confirmation hearing.
I also noticed that they completely ignored the hecklers at Obama’s latest stemwinder speech. some audience members started chanting in order to drown out the vocal protest; “Four more years!”. (Probably the only chant phrase they could think of on short notice) Totally unrelated to anything he was saying, but they had to DO SOMETHING! They could see he was getting rattled and if he responded it would be apparent that some of the invited guests to this exclusive rally were not fellow koolaid drinkers.
The lame stream story this morning was all about how how the gracious outgoing dear leader reminded his loyal supporters that “I can’t do that” (serve another term)

” even though it indicates a very serious and widespread threat that could very easily morph into real bombs very soon. ”

Bob… this is “fake news” in the making…
A couple of hoax phone calls does not present a clear and present danger… I lived through the IRA bombings of the 70’s and 80’s in Birmingham UK , so have some personal experience of living under the threat of terrorism …
I abhor violent extremists of every ilk, but the incidents in the U.K. at least are most likely to be the work of some right wing nut job calling on a burner phone from his bedroom … ( remember there are MANY fewer guns in the U.K. also!) .. Not much chance of any real violence emerging from them, and to state otherwise is just disingenuous (and dangerous )
I love and respect so much of your work… but you are starting to sound every bit as inflammatory and fascist as the crazy left wingers you campaign against.

  • Lee S: Very typical. You have absolutely no outrage over these bomb threats, aimed very specifically at Jewish sites expressly because of their religion. What happened to liberal tolerance for diversity and intolerance for hate, eh? Instead, you use these bomb threats as a tool to attack the right, based on absolutely no evidence. None. Very shameful.

You also state that the gun laws of the U.K. makes the threat less worrisome. Please tell that to the riders on the London subway system on July 7, 2005.

As I noted before, you continue to make excuses for the bigotry and violence coming from the Islamic community. And I will continue to call you on it.

You also have not yet indicated whether you have read my posts on Israel. It is now several weeks since I challenged you to read them, predicting that you never would. I guess my prediction was sadly correct. The facts I carefully outlined in those posts illustrated how ignorant your comments about Israel and the West Bank were, and would force you to admit that what you wrote was patently wrong. I guess that is simply too difficult for you to do.

SSshhh…they are making asses of themselves. More and more people are becoming increasingly aware of the BS. It just goes to show you that they still haven’t learn anything from veritas and wikileaks.

Everyone in Europe who does not thrive in islamic stone age tyranny should seriously consider leaving the continent, and the British Islands. Jews, Christians, Zoroastrians, atheists whoever. Today’s random terror murders with knifes and guns and trucks on the street will quickly turn into an organized holocaust again. Backed up by their ruling politicians. Reducing civilization to violent 1400 years old nomadic islamic analphabetism.

At least some of those leftist anti-Sessions protesters brought their owb straight jackets and choking hoods with them
