Genesis cover

On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.

The print edition can be purchased at Amazon. from any other book seller, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.

The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.

"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

Berkeley mayor belongs to group that organized riots against Milo Yiannopoulos

Fascist: It now appears that the mayor of Berkeley, Jesse Arreguin, belongs to the group that organized the riots that shut down the lecture of Milo Yiannopoulos.

Berkley Mayor Jesse Arreguin was revealed to be a member of the anti-fascist group, By Any Means Necessary (BAMN), on Facebook. BAMN orchestrated the violence that shut down a scheduled lecture at UC Berkeley featuring Milo Yiannopoulos in early 2017. Arreguin is allegedly also friends with BAMN leader, Yvette Felarca, on Facebook.

They were also involved in the violent clashes earlier this month.

This might explain why the Berkeley police did so little during the first riots as well as during the violence that occurred on April 15 between pro-Trump and leftist demonstrators. In fact, there is even some evidence, not conclusive, that suggests the Berkeley police were helping the leftist demonstrators.

Meanwhile, Yiannopoulos has announced that he is planning a week long free speech event in Berkeley later this year. Good for him.

Please consider supporting my work here at Behind the Black. Your support allows me the freedom and ability to analyze objectively the ongoing renaissance in space, as well as the cultural changes -- for good or ill -- that are happening across America. Fourteen years ago I wrote that SLS and Orion were a bad ideas, a waste of money, would be years behind schedule, and better replaced by commercial private enterprise. Only now does it appear that Washington might finally recognize this reality.

In 2020 when the world panicked over COVID I wrote that the panic was unnecessary, that the virus was apparently simply a variation of the flu, that masks were not simply pointless but if worn incorrectly were a health threat, that the lockdowns were a disaster and did nothing to stop the spread of COVID. Only in the past year have some of our so-called experts in the health field have begun to recognize these facts.

Your help allows me to do this kind of intelligent analysis. I take no advertising or sponsors, so my reporting isn't influenced by donations by established space or drug companies. Isn’t this the type of stuff the RICO act was passed for? Would a city be tolerant if its mayor were a member of the Mafia?

” Would a city be tolerant if its mayor were a member of the Mafia?”

Certainly it would. Chicago simply would deny it, as it does today about the gangs it protects today. In the 1970s Berkeley was already the place where the loaned treasurer of Ramparts magazine was found floating in the Bay after she denounced Black Panther leaders to their faces over their malversion of donated funds for children’s charity work. Nothing was done then. Do you truly expect a city dominated by Barack Obama’s party of “Chicago, from Maine to California” to bother him?

“Would a city be tolerant if its mayor were a member of the Mafia?”

    ever heard of Rhode Island?

Back in the 70’s and 80’s, there was a large section of Boston known as the “Combat Zone”. It was run by a rat bastard who went by the name of Whitey Bulger. (He actually STOLE a liquor store. An actual brick and mortar location for his hangout spot!)

Didn’t seem to bother him that his brother (the “corrupt midget”) Billy Bulger just happened to be the state senate president. It also didn’t seem to hurt Billy’s political career that it was well known that people who angered Whitey might have an “accident”. Or just disappear…

    PeterF-

Buddy Cianci was just a peach of a fellow, and completely misunderstood. His status didn’t, however, prevent him from running again.

For others, try James Michael Curley, who served as the Mayor of Boston from a jail cell. People will put up with crimes of all sorts as long as the criminal brings home the pork.

    Interesting Eastern-seaboard “organized crime” stuff.

This Jesse Arreguin was elected Mayor in November. The odds of him being impeached are nil and the Governor of California won’t do anything to reign him in. There’s just no way to reach this guy via the Ballot box, his ilk has been in control for decades.
The only ‘upside’ to his overt blatant actions– he can be held personally liable for both Federal/State criminal & civil right’s violations, despite the general level of immunity he does have as an elected official. Suing him will take 3 years, but he’s over the edge and would lose. Someone needs to move immediately to protect internal documents & communications. (I’m positive the Mayor and his lackeys are leaving a trail that could figuratively hang them all.)

Trump could Federalize a portion of the California National Guard to maintain order at Berkeley, but that would shift the focus and let the Berzerkeley Police off the hook.

Thank you for posting this article. This is the first I’ve heard of this.

I can be convinced that the explosives used were not m-80s but who knows who threw them? I am sure a clever individual could procure stun grenades and smoke bombs.

Maybe an analysis could be done on the trajectory of the one used as an example in the video to see if it could have come from the Democrat activists or a rooftop. But if someone did throw it, they have a heck of an arm.

Buddy Cianci was just a peach of a fellow, and completely misunderstood.

Years ago looking for a station to hear The John Batchelor Show on, I saw that WPRO carried him and was one of the few stations to carry all three hours and also ran the Saturday broadcast. So I bookmarked WPRO and have listened to it for many years now when I catch Batchelor’s show. (and when I hear that snow is in the forecast, I have to remember I am not listening to an Atlanta station)

Anyway, like all stations, they promote[d] their daily lineup of shows and at the top-of-the-list they promoted “The Buddy Cianci Show” and called him “The Mayor”. I thought that was just a nickname for some longtime radio guy that really knew his city, and not realizing he was an actual mayor of Providence until he died and I read his obituary.

And WPRO and John Batchelor also introduced me to a guy name Zimmerman.
