Readers!

The time has come for my annual short Thanksgiving/Christmas fund drive for Behind The Black. I must do this every year in order to make sure I have earned enough money to pay my bills.

For this two-week campaign, I am offering a special deal to encourage donations. Donations of $200 will get a free autographed copy of the new paperback edition of Genesis: The Story of Apollo 8, while donations of $250 will get a free autographed copy of the new hardback edition. If you desire a copy, make sure you provide me your address with your donation.

As I noted in July, the support of my readers through the years has given me the freedom and ability to analyze objectively the ongoing renaissance in space, as well as the cultural changes -- for good or ill -- that are happening across America. Fourteen years ago I wrote that SLS and Orion were a bad ideas, a waste of money, would be years behind schedule, and better replaced by commercial private enterprise. Only now does it appear that Washington might finally recognize this reality.

In 2020 when the world panicked over COVID I wrote that the panic was unnecessary, that the virus was apparently simply a variation of the flu, that masks were not simply pointless but if worn incorrectly were a health threat, that the lockdowns were a disaster and did nothing to stop the spread of COVID. Only in the past year have some of our so-called experts in the health field have begun to recognize these facts.

Your help allows me to do this kind of intelligent analysis. I take no advertising or sponsors, so my reporting isn't influenced by donations by established space or drug companies. Instead, I rely entirely on donations and subscriptions from my readers, which gives me the freedom to write what I think, unencumbered by outside influences.

Please consider supporting my work here at Behind the Black. You can support me either by giving a one-time contribution or a regular subscription. There are four ways of doing so:

1. Zelle: This is the only internet method that charges no fees. All you have to do is use the Zelle link at your internet bank and give my name and email address (zimmerman at nasw dot org). What you donate is what I get.

2. Patreon: Go to my website there and pick one of five monthly subscription amounts, or by making a one-time donation.

3. A Paypal Donation or subscription:

4. Donate by check, payable to Robert Zimmerman and mailed to

The anti-Semitic Democratic Party

House Democrats have been forced to delay passage of a simple resolution condemning anti-Semitism because of opposition to that resolution from within the party.

Read the article. The reason they can’t pass it is because leftist and Muslim factions within the party support anti-Semitism, and have been working to water the resolution down so much that it becomes meaningless.

The bottom line is that the political Democratic Party, the people who run for office as well as run the party itself, is filled with bigots who focus on race, religion, and ethnicity above all. They rank everyone by these superficial factors, not by who they are as a person. Thus, all Americans who support Israel have “duel loyalties” Similarly, if you are white and male and voted for Donald Trump you must be a racist who supports slavery. And if you are black you have the right to hate whites, because of how much they all oppressed your ancestors.

If you are a registered Democrat and are opposed to bigotry, you might want to reassess your loyalty to that party.

Genesis cover

On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.

The print edition can be purchased at Amazon. from any other book seller, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.

The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.

"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

    Related:

A Liberal female friend of mine, while a true blue Trump hater, and I will get back to why that is later, does have her moments of rational thinking. She agrees with me on 9 out of 10 issues, but hates Trump and Republicans in general, but especially Trump.

She drew an analogy between a minority Hispanic woman that she encountered in her past who just did not like her because she was white and this woman did everything she could to transmit her thoughts of hatred about her and her race to her through her actions and words. Made her life hell.

She then drew an analogy between AOC, Ohmar and Talib, our newly minted Leftists, who all happen to be ladies, and all are plainly anti American from my perspective Congressional representatives. What she said really surprised me, she related her story and said that: “These kinds of people were like cockroaches, no matter what you do they just keep coming at you until they win, and they are angry and mean”.

And she voted for AOC even though I clearly explained exactly what she was. She will do nothing to support Republicans or Trump, has an extreme emotional reaction when you mention his name.

These newly minted representatives, Leftist all, although they were fair and square elected by their constituents to represent them, IMO have no business being empowered and installed in our government. (Let no one tell you that there are not consequences to elections.)

And the reasons that they have been empowered is because of the flooding of the mid West, Illinois and Minnesota by the Liberals / philosophical Marxists of years gone by with these refugees and these trans planted refugees apparently do not see themselves as Americans but people who must defy America and use the Constitution as a weapon against itself. The Left has a long term plan to infiltrate and control the vote and there by securing their power. It all really starts with the likes of Ted “Aquaman” Kennedy, the Lion” of the Senate.

And this is exactly what is underway at our Southern border. Democrats incentivizing illegals and flooding the border with those who will in time become “Americans” in order to vote and further usurp our Constitution and fulfilling the Leftists, SJW’s and the politically correct anti Americans that seek to “make things the way that they should be” and secure their power.

No emergency on the border, nothing to see here. Why do Democrats love the border being stormed? Anyone?

Getting back to my female friend and her visceral hatred for Trump. I very correctly, because I know her very well, pointed out to her that 1. She agrees with most all of what Trump has accomplished and 2. She sees all male candidates for president as prospective dates or lovers and because she knows of Trumps history related to womanizing / chasing women that she despised him for that reason.

I can tell you that that did not go over very well, there was some loud noises made, but she knows it is 100 percent true. She loved, loved, loved Obama. Good looking, great voice, says just what you want to hear him say. In other words a BS man.

She would not last ten minutes with him or B.J. Clinton because they both are BS man.

The dem party is no longer the party of Kennedy.

They have no central cohesive ideology that holds the party together. Other than hating. Hating whites, men, republicans, independent thinkers, and anyone who doesn’t talk their walk and talk their talk.

I support Israel. Not everything about the nation but I still support them.

Yes, Kennedy is dead and is no longer an issue. I suspect he is throwing waitresses around in hell with the devil making waitress sandwiches, but he was the driving force and fashioned / crafted what we are left to deal with on our borders and with our immigration policy in 2019 and into the future.

What a legacy, winning at all costs, even the cost of the Constitution and the country.

The only real counter strategy to this is to now take these refugees and educate them to become Conservatives.

tangential, but I’ll put it in here–

The Convention of States Movement is poised to pick up 2 additional State’s this week, bringing the total to 14. (34 are required)
    https://conventionofstates.com/

Whatever you might think of the merit’s of this method, at least we are making progress. Our so called “leaders,” will never voluntary get a grip on themselves, it has to be imposed by the States which created our Federal government. (They work for us, not the other way around.)

Speaking of marching slowly….Picked up the paper (yes, I still pass the time seeing what’s been imprinted on dead trees) and there was a full page ad rallying the troops to pass….the (so called) Equal Rights Amendment ! They claimed “only X more states” were needed to pass that relic of the Seventies). 1) I could not have been more astonished if I had actually seen Dracula rising from the grave 2) It turns out it has risen from the dead time and time again and with the Dimmicrats back in charge in the House are both reintroducing and claiming they have virtually unlimited time to garner up the votes in the state legislatures (but once they do, the matter is settled) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equal_Rights_Amendment#In_the_courts
    3) If I was a newly minted lawyer, I’d hook my wagon to this Amendment, the possibilities for litigation – all the way to Supreme Court seem endless

Its funny because Democrat’s identity is one of fighting racism and that anyone who isn’t a Democrats is by necessity a racist. The identity that Democrats construct for themselves and the identity they construct for non-Democrats is what draws people to their party and keeps them there. The reality is that their preferred identity has not much correlation with reality.

  • eddie willers

Yes, Kennedy is dead and is no longer an issue. I suspect he is throwing waitresses around in hell with the devil

I believe he was talking about that other Kennedy.

The one who lowered taxes because “a rising tide lifts all boats”, started us to the Moon and would be forced to be a Republican these days.

Oh….and “shot by a little communist”.

  • wayne

    Col–
yeah– what’s up with that? (‘equal rights amendment’)
(Tangentially–our local paper is only printed 3X a week now and very thin, I make up for it with the WSJ (6 days/week) although I hate the editorial-page.)

Ref: Convention of States- Arkansas and Utah are now on board, 14 states so far. We need 34 to call a Meeting of States– Congress isn’t involved, and it will blow their mind’s. The closer we get, the more they will all squeal.

Ref: JFK– not a huge fan, but he would be kicked out of the democrat-party today. (His various personal foibles, psychoactive drug intake, and taste for young commie girls, notwithstanding.)

Ref: Teddy K— just do a search for ‘waitress sandwich.,’ if they haven’t scrubbed it down the memory hole. Also, “collusion with Russia against Reagan.”

    Cotour– be careful!

Tangential– I find it hilarious that the dems used to love Trump and his money, now he’s Hitler or something.

    Be careful?

Is the truth of the situation a danger to me saying what I am saying? (Of course MY interpretation of the truth of the situation is a danger TO ME)

Of course in this political atmosphere it is. I give as an example of where this is and has been crafted by the “Community organizers” among us to go. We go to my new favorite empowered by a total of I believe 17,000 people in her district politico, AOC.

    https://www.dailywire.com/news/44467/ocasio-cortez-state-america-garbage-reagan-pitted-ryan-saavedra

This is AOC’s truth about what is going on in America and the world, America is “Garbage”. And so she and her fellows will endeavor to use the Constitution to destroy what she perceives as the problem in the politically tumultuous world. These kinds of ideals are what create situations like Venezuela. Because that is what America should become, its only fair.

(Faux equality and “fairness are the key trigger words in the play book of the Left. And its all focused on the acquisition of and the retention of power,at any cost, plain and simple)

Although she is my favorite politician at the moment because of her unbridled honesty and purity of thought and deed, she in the end, as I have pointed out previously, is just a cuter version of Stalin and Mao, with her defensive bug eyes and her little chipmonk fangs. She will by necessity, if she is ever empowered much more than she has been to date, have to choose between who is acceptable in this brave new America, and who is not.

Be careful? Yes, we all need to be very careful here.
