July 7, 2020 Zimmerman Space Show appearance
The podcast for my two-hour appearance on the Space Show last night is now available here.
On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.
The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.
The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.
"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

Bob, what are all of these Share Now links under all of the stories, I thought you were trying to stay away from google and facebook as much as possible.
Brian: Up until today, there had been specific icons for Facebook and Twitter at the bottom of each post, with a plus sign if you wanted to use a host of other resources to share my post. I did not like the idea of favoring these two resources over all the others, and asked my web guy, Shane, if we could change it so that no particular resource was favored. This is why it now reads “Share Now.”
I do not use these resources, but others do, and I think it wrong to not let them do so if they wish to. Moreover, I think letting them do so in this manner is a minor concession to my disdain for some of these big software companies in order to bring traffic here.
Bob, thanks for your response and explanation. Hopefully as the blockchain becomes more prominent, the walled gardens will lose a lot of their power, and the internet will become the decentralized network it was intended to be.
Good show Bob. One of these days I’ll call in.
As always thanks for doing all the work you do
