Please consider supporting my work here at Behind the Black. I keep the website clean from pop-ups and annoying demands. Instead, I depend entirely on my readers to support me. Though this means I am sacrificing some income, it also means that I remain entirely independent from outside pressure. By depending solely on donations and subscriptions from my readers, no one can threaten me with censorship. You don't like what I write, you can simply go elsewhere.

You can support me either by giving a one-time contribution or a regular subscription. There are five ways of doing so:

1. Zelle: This is the only internet method that charges no fees. All you have to do is use the Zelle link at your internet bank and give my name and email address (zimmerman at nasw dot org). What you donate is what I get.

2. Patreon: Go to my website there and pick one of five monthly subscription amounts, or by making a one-time donation.

3. A Paypal Donation:

Genesis cover

On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.

The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.

The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.

"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

We need a real investigation that looks at the entirety of IRS operations. Tea Party groups were not the only targets, other conservative groups, donors, and individuals were targeted.

It should be rather easy to see if there is a pattern of Tea Party and other groups giving their donor, member, and speaker lists to the IRS and then the IRS using those links to target other groups and individuals for audits and harassment.

Every single audit needs to be crosschecked with a list of political targets generated through the IRS opposition research efforts.

It is a little like the NSA programs. They take one phone number of a known AQ member and then map out everyone connected to him and then continue on to several degrees of separation. This same technique could be used to map the relationships between conservative individuals, groups, donors, and activists. And this is the same type of data mining that the Obama campaign was doing to target friendly voters for outreach.

It tends to intimidate, quiet down and disorganize the opposition. Do it as long and as much as you can get away with it.

What is the nature of man related to power? Abuse. And they are certainly doing what comes naturally. President Obama has not begun to piss alot of people off, he has over 2 1/2 years remaining to apply his brand of “fundamental” change on the American people.

“[D]ozens of groups operating as 501(c)(4)s were flagged for IRS surveillance, including monitoring of the groups’ activities, websites and any other publicly available information. Of these groups, 83 percent were right-leaning. And of the groups the IRS selected for audit, 100 percent were right-leaning.”

They monitored a bunch of groups whose names sounded conservative and ignored those that they decided were not conservative.

Nixon said he wished that he could do this. Obama did it.

What kind of government harrasses its own people like this?

Welcome to Obama’s America, the land of the formerly free.
