Genesis cover

On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.

The print edition can be purchased at Amazon. from any other book seller, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.

The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.

"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

Bahrain signs Artemis Accords

Bahrain announced today that it has signed Artemis Accords, making it the second Arab country, after the United Arab Emirates (UAE), to do so.

The full list of signatories, now seventeen: Australia, Bahrain, Brazil, Canada, Israel, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, New Zealand, Poland, Romania, South Korea, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, the Ukraine, and the United States.

In the past week both Bahrain and Romania have joined the accords. The timing suggests both actions might have been triggered by the Ukraine War. Russia opposes the Artemis Accords, and for Romania, a former Soviet block nation, and Bahrain, an Arab nation, to make such announcements so quickly after Russia’s invasion of the Ukraine suggests both are signalling their willingness to ally themselves against Russia.

For this western alliance in space to be complete however it will require that France and Germany as well as more members of the European Space Agency (ESA) to sign on. Before Russia’s invasion these two nations as well as other ESA partners were considering allying themselves with either Russia or China (which also opposes the accords) in future space endeavors. Such an alliance would have prevented them from signing the accords.

The Russian invasion has almost certainly ended any chance these European nations will partner with Russia in space. Thus, it is very likely Russia’s invasion will force them back into a more firm space alliance with the U.S., and get them to sign the accords. If the American State Department has any competence (something we should not expect) it will be jumping on this situation and ramping up its pressure on Europe to sign on.

Readers!

Please consider supporting my work here at Behind the Black. Your support allows me the freedom and ability to analyze objectively the ongoing renaissance in space, as well as the cultural changes -- for good or ill -- that are happening across America. Fourteen years ago I wrote that SLS and Orion were a bad ideas, a waste of money, would be years behind schedule, and better replaced by commercial private enterprise. Only now does it appear that Washington might finally recognize this reality.

In 2020 when the world panicked over COVID I wrote that the panic was unnecessary, that the virus was apparently simply a variation of the flu, that masks were not simply pointless but if worn incorrectly were a health threat, that the lockdowns were a disaster and did nothing to stop the spread of COVID. Only in the past year have some of our so-called experts in the health field have begun to recognize these facts.

Your help allows me to do this kind of intelligent analysis. I take no advertising or sponsors, so my reporting isn't influenced by donations by established space or drug companies. Instead, I rely entirely on donations and subscriptions from my readers, which gives me the freedom to write what I think, unencumbered by outside influences.

Interestingly enough Formula 1 racing has cancelled all competition in Russian and Belarus this year and has issued a special “Code of Conduct” for Russian drivers if they wish to continue to compete in the sport.

“In a document sent out on Friday, the FIA outlined exactly what drivers from those two countries would and would not be allowed to do.

    The key points are:

The display of Russian/Belarusian national symbols, colours or flags are banned in public and on social media platforms.

Russian/Belarusian flags, emblems, symbols, and words linked to the country are banned from display on uniforms, clothing, accessories and other personal items.

The singing or playing of the Russian/Belarusian national anthem at any event or area controlled by the FIA is outlawed.

Comments, actions or conduct that is prejudicial to the interests of the FIA, an in particular any support for the Russian invasion of Ukraine, is banned.

The FIA has also not ruled out taking more action against Russian and Belarusian drivers.”

Oh, forgot to mention that Bahrain is the first F1 race this year running March 18 – 20th, which is wat prompted my post above in the first place.

  • It will be interesting to see if the strengthening of ties between NATO nations (due to Ukraine) will cause France and Germany to be more open to signing the Artemis Accords.

Last week I mentioned I would post the links to war footage blamed on the Russians. Here it is, about 2/3 through extremely long article that is a deep dive into the situation. It outlines the pushback by Russia over the violations of treaties as it is, not as they perceive it on TV.
(The government and media has been lying to me my whole life, with the false flag events and the extreme measures getting more bold, not knowing any limits. They impeached Trump twice over made up lies, imprisoned and took away our rights and jobs over made up virus that was no more potent than whooping cough or the common flu)
Now the same news agencies expect us to believe that Russia is the only one to blame? That giving billions of dollars to the Nazis that are killing Russian Ukrainians is the correct answer in exchange for joining the world economic forum?

Everyone is shaking their heads for the recent lifting of the masks in time for the state of the union. What changed? Here is the map of the red zones as compared to the map of the United States the next day.

Going from 99% red, to a map that I can’t find any red at all? It’s a miracle! Or just healthcare by politicians.

    From my above link, disturbing details of US involvement and sponsoring of terrorism;

“In March 2015, Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov announced that the Azov Battalion would be one of the first units to be trained by US Army troops, as part of their Operation Fearless Guard training mission. US training was discontinued on June 12, 2015, when the US House of Representatives passed an amendment banning all aid (including weapons and training) to the battalion because of its neo-Nazi past. The amendment was then revoked under pressure from the CIA (here and here) and the soldiers of the Azov Battalion were trained in the United States (here and here): “We have been training these guys for eight years now. They are really good fighters. That’s where the Agency’s program could have a serious impact.”

“In 2016, an OSCE report [Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe] found that the Azov Battalion was responsible for the mass killing of prisoners, the concealment of corpses in mass graves and the systematic use of physical and psychological torture techniques. Just a few days ago the Deputy Commander of the Battalion, Vadim Troyan, was appointed Chief of Police of the Oblast Region by Interior Minister Arsen Avakov”

“Just a few days ago, Ukrainian parliamentarian Kira Rudik told Fox News, while holding a kalashnikov: “We know that we are not only fighting for Ukraine, but also for the New World Order”

A link to the “reasons for war” that the Russians are looking at. Warning, graphic pictures.

Apparently many of the fighters from Isis joined their ranks, thanks to the involvement of Obama and George Soros who funds their operation. Is anyone surprised?
It begs the question, if terrorist trained here by the CIA… Are any still here? Is there a threat?
Are the congressman who is funding the war with billions aware of all this? I bet they are. Now you are.
