For the 31st time in the past three years the Obama administration warned the public “not to read too much” into this month’s poor job numbers.

For many reasons, mostly political but partly ethical, I do not use Google, Facebook, Twitter. They practice corrupt business policies, while targeting conservative websites for censoring, facts repeatedly confirmed by news stories and by my sense that Facebook has taken action to prevent my readers from recommending Behind the Black to their friends.

Thus, I must have your direct support to keep this webpage alive. Not only does the money pay the bills, it gives me the freedom to speak honestly about science and culture, instead of being forced to write it as others demand.

Broken record: For the 31st time in the past three years the Obama administration warned the public “not to read too much” into this month’s high unemployment numbers.

I wasn’t looking at the soon to be adjusted unemployment number but the 300k who left the workforce. That’s greater than the number of troops in Iraq and Afghanistan at the height of the wars. It is like 3/4 of the population of New Orleans moving out in a month. It is as if the city I live in disappeared. We are in the era of big numbers but this is scary and I can’t believe the media isn’t expounding on its significance.
