The prints could be as old as one million years, and are significant in that they show that humans had spread from Africa with remarkable quickness once the species took hold.
On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.

"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

Just a nit, but by humans, you should note your not talking about our species of humans. Cro-Magnon/Homo-sapiens have only been around about 200,000 years. So this would be a earlier human species like Neanderthals or something.
Given they also recently found a cave with signs of a long used fire pit from as early as 300,000 years ago, it confirms were not the first tool making human species around – and some suggest parts of our anatomy indicate we evolved as/from a tool making species that at the least had the ability to make crude cutting tools. We can hunt down small game, and need the protean from eating them – but our teeth and jaws are to weak to tear open even a rabbit. So we needed knives at least.
