Today’s blacklisted American: Pfizer creates segregated program that purposely excludes non-minorities

Pfizer: dedicated to segregation!
Pfizer: dedicated to the new segregation!

“Segregation today, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever!” The giant pharmaceutical company Pfizer is now offering a segregated program, dubbed the Breakthrough Fellowship Program (BFP), designed to train the company’s future management, with participation limited exclusively to blacks, hispanics, and American Indians. Whites and others are barred.

From the company’s FAQ [pdf] describing the program:

This program is designed to enhance our pipeline of diverse talent of leaders. The BFP, first of its kind will work to advance students and early career colleagues of Black/African American, Latino/Hispanic and Native American descent with a goal of developing 100 fellows by 2025. One of Pfizer’s Bold Moves is to make Pfizer an amazing workplace for all and we are committed to increasing diversity by fostering a more inclusive workplace. Every Pfizer ‘Breakthrough’ program is designed to cultivate a pipeline of diverse talent. Everything we do is driven by our purpose.

In describing the requirements for application, that FAQ also makes it clear that all others need not apply, that they are barred from the fellowship program because of their race. Only “Black/African American, Latino/Hispanic and Native Americans” can apply.

Since this program is focused on developing the company’s future upper management, it essentially guarantees that only these specific minorities will be qualified for that management. Or to put it more bluntly, this program is a new “old boys” network created to purposely exclude whites from management positions.

The first link above quotes several prominent civil rights attorneys, all of whom say that this program violates numerous civil rights laws. As one says, it “is so flagrantly illegal I seriously wonder how it passed internal review by its general counsel.”

No matter. The goal of our new leftist anti-racism warriors is to use racism to defeat racism. By re-establishing segregation and discrimination — this time against different races and ethnicities — these self-righteous warriors fullly believe they will make segregation and discrimination impossible in the future.

The idiocy, ignorance, and utter evilness of their actions cannot really be measured. Two wrongs never make a right. All that these new modern bigots will accomplish is seed our culture with anger, hate, and resentment, eventually culminating in race war because of their incessant and bigoted focus on race. They are teaching everyone to see everyone only by their skin color, not by the things they do as an individual human being.

Or to put it another way, this new racist campaign is eagerly and enthusiastically re-establishing the Jim Crow laws of the South. O joy!

Genesis cover

On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.

The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.

The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.

"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

Racism in one direction or another is still racism.

To purposefully exclude any group just because of their race is racism. Its just that simple.

But everyone here already knows that.

Will Rachel Levine Sue? That would be their worst nightmare. Their second worst nightmare is all the white people including the board members (Who came up with this racist grandstanding idea) being fired for having white skin. Next it would be the investors with their white privilege being denied…
Can you just picture the dividend checks going to the hedge fund managers being withheld on the basis of their white privilege skin color? Guilty by birth heritage? Judged by skin color and not the content of your character? Martin Luther King‘s dream denied… this racism it’s promoted to divide our house for no other reason then the envy of the communist/fascist! They cannot stand the brilliance of the shining light up on the hill that’s a beacon to the rest of the world of what works.
    There is a workaround…
If you “feel” like a “minority” or in “Pocahontas” case, who feel’s like she has Indian heritage to get free college, when she does not have a drop of Native American blood, then your “identity” in which you “feel”, is all that matters.
Your truth in this alternative universe is your reality… We’re men can have periods and nobody knows what a woman is. The more ridiculous the identity you claim, the more they will except you.
Lab work performed for a drug company with lives in its hands run by irrational people with money to burn is not a good thing for science.
For years Bill Gates and drug companies have been going to poor countries in India, Africa, Philippines testing out new drugs that were a complete failure killing thousands…
Now that the shoe is on the other foot, with operation warp speed making the giant pharmaceuticals impervious to lawsuits and responsibility, there will be no remorse for the force testing of pharmaceuticals on the general population for profit and amusement. I believe there’s a name for this… You will now get the “social justice” you deserve!

  • I live in a town where the greater part of the commercial strip are Hispanic-owned businesses. There are any number of Asian and Indian folks making nice incomes from Intel and Nike. Doesn’t seem to be a ‘race’ problem, here.

Every one of these POC progroms is another public announcement of cultural failure. ‘I can’t compete’.

The “light from Reason” gains momentum and altitude. As but one example, we now openly practice the “virtue” of racism in order to end the “evil” of racism!

Typo alert! typo alert! I meant “flight from Reason.”

Ok, so Pfizer is a racist company that was already making flawed “vaccines”. Now they want to hire not the best and the brightest, but those based on skin color that may or may not be the best and brightest. This is straight out of the movie Idiocracy.

The Liberal / radical Leftist Democrat pandering philosophy is that instead of unruly and out of control segments of society adapting to certain reasonable ways to conduct themselves in a civilized society, the society is to adapt to their unruly and out of control ways.

And that is their game, and it is especially effective since one of their main issues is skin color.

And in the end, in the long term these political operatives (D) cynically injure and destroy those who they say they seek to help in many ways.

It is condescending bigotry to not expect an individual to act responsibly. That lack of expectation strongly infers that one views an individual as an infant, imbecile. or domestic animal, to borrow from the words of C. S. Lewis. Not as a citizen with unalienable rights.

In fact, this is the prevalent form of bigotry these days, using race, class, and political division as justification for bigots who type in stereo, seeking to frame the societal debate as The Normal vs. The Others Who Deserve No Respect.

And they are everything that they decry, for such as these claim that those who promote the exercise of personal responsibility are the bigots who must be suppressed..

    Robert,
You wrote: “Since this program is focused on developing the company’s future upper management, it essentially guarantees that only these specific minorities will be qualified for that management. Or to put it more bluntly, this program is a new “old boys” network created to purposely exclude whites from management positions.

I have to disagree. The second FAQ says:

    2. I’m not from a minority group identified for the Breakthrough Fellowship Program; what opportunities are available to me?
    • Pfizer is an equal opportunity employer. We have multiple programs and opportunities throughout the year for undergraduate and graduate students and for Pfizer colleagues generally. For example, any colleague can pursue an MBA or MPH through Pfizer Benefits’ Education Assistance Program. We also host MBA students each summer, more information on this program can be found here. Undergraduates and graduate students who are not eligible or interested in the Breakthrough Fellows Program but would like to pursue a career at Pfizer can apply to the Summer Growth Experience Program and/or create a job alert on our Pfizer.com/Careers page to receive email or text notifications when positions are opened.

It seems clear to me that Pfizer thinks that white employees (and others) can still reach management positions through the regular channels. Thus, the creation of this special program tells me that Pfizer thinks that the identified minority groups do not have what it takes to reach management positions through the regular channels and need special help to reach management positions.

Why would they think that? Could it be that Pfizer is racist but does not realize it (much like the Democratic Party, Social Justice Warriors, and the Woke movement are racist but do not realize it)? Could Pfizer be suffering from the “soft racism” of low expectations?

  • “And I will confront another form of bias: the soft bigotry of low expectations.”

No down payment for black, Hispanic, and minority first time house buyers in selected cities.
No interest house loan, no checking of credit score. No mortgage insurance or proof of employment. Only proof of the ability to pay your bills, and history of paying rent.
This program is ripe for fraud and abuse. I’m sure it is backed and insured by US taxpayers… Bank of America is known for making fake accounts. When the loans go delinquent, the bank will lose nothing.

There’s no such thing as a free lunch… If you’re getting something for free, it was because it was worthless in the first place. This is also true for education.

  • Max, the BoA initiative here smacks of banking’s embrace of subprime lending in the 1990’s at the “behest” of such notable figures in bureaucracy and lawfare as Andrew Cuomo and Barack Obama, respectively.

Which of course, gave us the 2000’s housing bubble and the Great Recession.

  • Cotour

And what boiled down is all of this? What was the subprime crash all about?

The “Good Intentions” of government political players and their leveraging those banking corporations to lend to individuals who they normally would not lend to because they did not have the financial means to support such financing. Just a form of reparations, and an attempt at government forcing “Equality”.

Remember, government can really only incentivize or disincentivize, and having a franchise or licensing or fines threat held over the banking / finance industry can be very effective in moving a market one way or another. In these cases, home ownership for black and minority individuals.

But when government attempts to shape such “Unnatural” financial situations there can only be one long term result…………disaster.

Is that the function of government is some extreme instances? Maybe in some instances, but once the disruption of the market has begun it is rarely able to be clawed back to normality until the contagion is filled with corruption and it effects every market and every financial system because it is the nature of a corrupt contagion.

You can live with a little contagion and a little corruption, but when government acts in such a “generous” ham-handed way only disaster and destruction can follow at some point for all.

And here we are, but they meant well.

“A rose by any other name would smell as sweet”
