Who are the real climate deniers?

Who are the real climate deniers?

I very much dislike the use of the term “deniers”, no matter who it is applied to, since it lowers the civility of the discussion. Nonetheless, the article is a nice thumbnail summary of the climate field, both in terms of the players as well as the areas of uncertainty and confusion. It also provides a clear illustration of the contrast between the two sides and how they tend to discuss these issues, best summarized by this quote:

It is also telling that in a radio debate between Harris [the skeptic] and Rhynas [the global warming advocate] that took place following Rhynas’s initial presentation, the former agreed to take questions from the public but the latter refused.

Genesis cover

On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.

The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.

The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.

"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

In two or three hours aboard Al Gore’s jet (I think a g3) he burns more fuel than most Americans use all year, he is preaching that we must use less! This in a day where travel from executives is less and less needed every day because of advancements in electronic communications, this person lives in a 10000 sq.ft. mansion in Tennessee that see’s plenty of winter and plenty of summer! He is only one of many that live this extravagant lifestyle and poo poo normal people driving an f-150 and trying to stay warm in the winter. Its almost like this class of people hate the lower class’s of people who are just trying to eke out a living of there own. the united states government funds this “science” to the tune of billions every year and tells these scientists what results they are looking for, the scientists comply, this government so wants to apply a tax for global warming so badly because this government is flat broke and thinks that a carbon tax will help their coffers, these people are so shortsighted that they cannot even remember that taxes are regressive and lower revenues almost every time they are imposed, maybe its not money but control they wish to exert!

  • I love the way the author summed up the position of Rhynas as one of ‘taking a position’ versus Harris as using ‘genuine use of reason’. Yes indeed.

After reading through NASA’s position on climate change, I came to conclusion that the only way the IPCC and NASA and other climate deniers carrying Suzuki’s and Gore’s climate change standard can make their claims of man made global warming is by irrationally making the influence of the Sun’s influence on Earth’s climate unreasonably low and overemphasizing the influence of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

The burden of proof on the man made climate change remains with the climate deniers to prove their claim: man made carbon in the atmosphere is causing the Earth’s temperature to rise, the oceans to melt, and causes extreme storms. Obviously, these climate deniers are not as interested in scientific inquiry as much as a moral position they wish to impose on the average person.
