MeTrónomoS – One Small Step
An evening pause: For this anniversary of Neil Armstrong’s first step on the Moon, a short musical piece, with images, that nicely encapsulates that 1960s space effort. If you are passionate about the human effort to become a space-faring civilization and you don’t know who and what mission each clip portrays, you need to find out.
On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.
The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.
The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.
"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News
Nice music and composition! One nit – the Titan booster shown lifting off to symbolize the early Gemini spacewalk missions is not carrying a Gemini capsule. Probably an early test flight of the Titan II ICBM itself. I think it is the II (with the un-tapered second stage), but the video is not conclusive – might be a Titan I.
Hello, I am the author of the music and I also edited the video. I’m glad you like my music, here you have everything I’ve composed so far metronomos.com.es
Regarding your doubts, perhaps the original video clarifies something. I extracted all the images from the NASA video The Journeys of Apollo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GNJpoP642wc&list=PL2aBZuCeDwlTOlo9In_Mb_Juph0Ke8rug&index=7&t=0s
