Sheila Jackson Lee Likens Islamic Radicals to ‘Christian Militants’ in U.S.

An idiot speaks: Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) yesterday equated Islamic terrorists with “Christian militants” in the United States.

Since 9/11 Islamic terrorists have carried out more than 17,000 attacks, killing tens of thousands. In that same time, you could count on one hand the number of attacks by “Christian militants,” if that many. For Representative Lee, it seems it is hard for her to tell the difference.

A new study finds that more than 80 percent of the mosques in the United States feature Islamic literature advocating violence.

A new study finds that more than 80 percent of the mosques in the United States feature Islamic literature advocating violence.

Further, 85 percent of the imams recommend this literature โ€” both lay-written and authoritative Islamic texts (not including the Quran or Sunnah, writings said to be words and deeds of Mohammed). It is a slim 19 percent of the mosques that donโ€™t feature such violent materials, and an even slimmer 15 percent of the imams who donโ€™t recommend it. [emphasis mine]

Data like this once again illustrates how absurd it is to assume Islam has been hijacked by a small minority of violent radicals. Instead, the data horribly suggests that violence is a natural component of the religion.

Osama’s killing was not only legal, it was morally right

Osama’s killing was not only legal, it was morally right.

Under any sane construction of the laws of war, the killing of Bin Laden was lawful regardless of whether he “raised his hands in surrender” or whether the American soldiers were under orders to shoot without giving him a chance to surrender. By suggesting otherwise, human rights lawyers only make international law look out of step with basic morality and common sense.

The opportunity to surrender is a cherished, civilized and valuable part of warfare. But accepting an enemy’s white flag in the heat of battle is a life-endangering proposition: The flag could be a ruse; a bomb could be hidden; the captors could end up dead. We give enemy soldiers the benefit of this dangerous doubt for two reasons. First, because soldiers who have fought honorably, complying with the laws of war, have earned it. And second, because we want the enemy to treat our soldiers the same way.

Neither reason applies, however, to enemies who flagrantly violate the laws of war, targeting civilians for death, hiding bombs behind burkas, using children as shields or โ€” yes โ€” faking a Red Cross, upraised hands or other symbolic white flags to perpetrate lethal attacks. A white flag makes a statement. It says, I’m giving up; I’m unarmed and pose no threat; I respect the laws of war under which this flag must never be used as a ruse, and I am not using it as a ruse to attack you. Even if we imagine Bin Laden actually waving a little white sock on a stick in Abbottabad, there would have been no reason for our soldiers to credit these statements. No soldier had a duty to take the slightest risk to his own life because Osama bin Laden promised to be good from now on. [emphasis mine]

Ann Barnhardt vs Lindsey Graham

This woman bluntly, clearly, and without apology explains freedom, the first amendment, and the difference between peaceful protest and violence to Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina).

Make sure you watch part 2 of her oration, where she goes through the worst quotes from the Koran (bookmarked with bacon strips!) and burns those pages.

Two beheaded and eight others murdered in protest against Koran burning

The religion of peace: Two beheaded and eight others murdered in Afghanistan today in protest against Koran burning.

Burning the Koran might have been a poor idea, but such an act doesn’t justify murder.

Then there’s this: Penn State students assaulted for putting up a display outlining what they considered Palestinian lies.

Once again, the only answer Islam can give to criticism is violence.

University Protects Student Who Issued Jihadist Death Threats Against Conservatives and Jews

More craziness: McGill University has decided to protect the student who issued jihadist death threats against conservatives and Jews.

Some examples of the student’s threats: โ€œI want to shoot everyone in this room,โ€ followed by โ€œI should have brought an M16.โ€

Here is McGill’s interpretation: โ€œWe have come to the conclusion that the messages donโ€™t constitute a threat to the community.”

The savage barbaric murders of Jewish children by Islamic killers

On March 11, a Palestinian terrorist (nothing more than a savage if you ask me) broke into the Jewish home in the West Bank and brutally murdered two adults and three of their children, aged 11, 3, and 1. When the news reached Gaza, there were celebrations, with candy being handed out to children.

On March 13, Melanie Phillips, a blogger in Great Britain, decided to comment on these horrible and barbaric murders by Islamic killers.

Fifty mortars fired into Israel from Gaza, injuring two; Israeli military responses

Fifty mortars fired into Israel from Gaza, injuring two; Israeli military responses.

This is from Gaza, remember, a place that Israel unilaterally retreated from several years ago, leaving it entirely to the Palestinians. By what justification then do they have to continue to fire missiles into Israel, unless their real goal is simply to kill Jews?

Half of Capitol Controlled by Protesters, “No One Is Safe.”

The new civility in Wisconsin: “No one is safe.” In fact, better to read the rest of the quote:

No one is safe. Protesters have broken down doors, broken windows, Democrats are helping them into the building and theyโ€™re building momentum. Theyโ€™re robo-calling like crazy, trying to pack as many people into the capitol so the Assembly canโ€™t vote today. Right now thereโ€™s no way the Assembly can voteโ€ฆwe canโ€™t secure the Assembly and we canโ€™t protect our legislators. [emphasis mine]

I don’t seem to remember the tea party protesters doing this kind of stuff when Obamacare was being voted on.

Jewish student sues UC Berkeley for not protecting her

A Jewish student has sued the University of California Berkeley for not protecting her against harassment and violence. Key quote:

The complaint alleges that the Students for Justice in Palestine and the Muslim Student Association, another pro-Palestinian group on campus, harass and attack Jewish students, and that the university knows about it and has not taken sufficient steps to protect its Jewish students. The complaint further charges that university officials have tolerated โ€œthe growing cancer of a dangerous anti-Semitic climate on its campusesโ€ that violates the rights of Jewish and other students โ€œto enjoy a peaceful campus environment free from threats and intimidation.โ€
