Readers!

The time has come for my annual short Thanksgiving/Christmas fund drive for Behind The Black. I must do this every year in order to make sure I have earned enough money to pay my bills.

For this two-week campaign, I am offering a special deal to encourage donations. Donations of $200 will get a free autographed copy of the new paperback edition of Genesis: The Story of Apollo 8, while donations of $250 will get a free autographed copy of the new hardback edition. If you desire a copy, make sure you provide me your address with your donation.

As I noted in July, the support of my readers through the years has given me the freedom and ability to analyze objectively the ongoing renaissance in space, as well as the cultural changes -- for good or ill -- that are happening across America. Fourteen years ago I wrote that SLS and Orion were a bad ideas, a waste of money, would be years behind schedule, and better replaced by commercial private enterprise. Only now does it appear that Washington might finally recognize this reality.

In 2020 when the world panicked over COVID I wrote that the panic was unnecessary, that the virus was apparently simply a variation of the flu, that masks were not simply pointless but if worn incorrectly were a health threat, that the lockdowns were a disaster and did nothing to stop the spread of COVID. Only in the past year have some of our so-called experts in the health field have begun to recognize these facts.

Your help allows me to do this kind of intelligent analysis. I take no advertising or sponsors, so my reporting isn't influenced by donations by established space or drug companies. Instead, I rely entirely on donations and subscriptions from my readers, which gives me the freedom to write what I think, unencumbered by outside influences.

Please consider supporting my work here at Behind the Black. You can support me either by giving a one-time contribution or a regular subscription. There are four ways of doing so:

1. Zelle: This is the only internet method that charges no fees. All you have to do is use the Zelle link at your internet bank and give my name and email address (zimmerman at nasw dot org). What you donate is what I get.

2. Patreon: Go to my website there and pick one of five monthly subscription amounts, or by making a one-time donation.

3. A Paypal Donation or subscription:

4. Donate by check, payable to Robert Zimmerman and mailed to

Today’s blacklisted Americans: Abraham Lincoln and George Washington

They’re coming for you next: Even as Democrats nationwide embrace blacklists of ordinary Americans for daring to express dissent from that party’s leftist agenda, the extremely leftwing school board in San Francisco is moving to blacklist as many of America’s historical national figures as possible, including Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, and Paul Revere.

Cancel culture is going after our Founding Fathers and other American leaders. Just this week, the San Francisco Board of Education voted to rename 44 public schools in a vote of 6 to 1.

The names on the chopping block are familiar and belong to important American leaders. Lincoln, Washington, and Roosevelt will no longer have their names attached to schools in the Golden Gate City. Dianne Feinstein’s name will also be removed.

Francis Scott Key, who penned the national anthem, former presidents William McKinley, James Garfield, James Monroe, and Herbert Hoover, and even Paul Revere were viewed as being too controversial and incendiary to have the honor of having a school named after them.

The school board can’t argue that these were supporters of slavery, since Lincoln freed the slaves, and Roosevelt, Key, McKinley, Hoover, and Revere never owned them and lived either in places that did not permit slavery (colonial New England) or outlawed it (post-Civil War America).

No, what this school board is doing is banning history, so that the students it “educates” will be guaranteed to know nothing about the past noble Americans who made this country a great and free land, for all. Instead, San Fransisco students will be indoctrinated into the Marxist philosophy of hate and envy, hating anyone who doesn’t agree with that ideology and having envy for anyone who works hard to achieve success instead of relying on the central government to feed them.

And most of all, they will be taught that America is, was, and always will be an evil land. They will be taught to hate it, so they can be enlisted in the war to destroy it.

So while today’s blacklisted Americans are dead and thus cannot be oppressed, the destruction of their names and good works is still possible, and the modern fascist Democratic Party is there to gladly oblige.

Genesis cover

On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.

The print edition can be purchased at Amazon. from any other book seller, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.

The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.

"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

    Related: PONTIUS SCHUMER

“Pontius Pilate was the fifth governor of the Roman province of Judaea. He is best known today for being the official who presided over the trial of Jesus and later ordered his crucifixion.”

“The New Testament suggests that Pilate had a weak, vacillating personality.”. “His wife sends him word of a revelatory dream she has had about Jesus and urges him to “have nothing to do with that innocent man”.

And Trump, like Jesus and his cause will only grow in force and importance because of the actions of just one scared, desperate politically empowered man and his political party’s interests. And I am not drawing a direct connection between the two and imply that Trump is the modern day incarnation of Jesus, not at all. I draw a parallel between the actions of a small politically empowered man and the resulting consequences, where they intended one thing and received from the universe the exact opposite, Xs 10.

I have made this point from the beginning of the Trump era in politics that God chooses his most damaged human beings to do his best works, and that is the framework that I continue to see Trump and his purpose in American politics and the preservation of our American Constitution. And if you know me you know that I am not a particularly religious person, but I do pay attention to and study history and the nature of man and I draw the very curious parallels and coincidences woven throughout.

Please, Mr. Charles Schumer, (D), Senator, Speaker Of The Senate, proceed with your symbolic crucifixion of Donald Trump. They always transmit who they fear the most, and both the Democrat and the Republican party leadership political swamp players desperately fear Donald Trump. Trump and his movement will grow in political power far beyond what the scared political players in the corrupt Washington D.C. can imagine.

Christianity, 2000 years plus and going strong, all due primarily to one mans decision to martyr some who dared to think differently.

Pontius Pilot has nothing on Senator, Charles Schumer, (D).

    It will backfire on them.

Here in CA, on the ground for real, ignored by “news” media:

    1. Some businesses are staying open even though they are being fined and have had their licenses removed. Some businesses ignore and leave alone customers who refuse to wear masks and play the SD game.

    2. In one relatively small school district, since this began, there have been four suicides among pupils, one of them only in the fifth grade. It is only common sense to figure this is happening across the country.

    3. Young men aware of points 1 and 2 above want to mobilize and end this insanity.

I maintain that there is still a viable option of ending this peacefully by declaring what could have been declared all along: “Good news, everybody, we can end this shutdown because after a year, 99.9- percent of us are okay! And now we’ve got a vaccine if you want it!” Everybody saves face.

But there are still all the young ones dead from their own hand. THAT the media can ignore but people on the ground feel it.

  • janyuary

Robert — I meant that all of public schools’ efforts to rewrite and indoctrinate, will backfire on them. The real people on the ground are still there. Public schools are held in contempt by many who are either silent or ignored and therefore invisible.

Remember, too, that San Francisco from the very start was East Coast centered in culture (to them, Los Angeles was purely barren in terms of serious culture and beneath them, until the 1980s at least). Many Californians are the antithesis of what people have been conditioned to think.

Also: Am incredibly enjoying Apollo 8, just WOW. What a fine writer you are, Mr. Zimmerman.

So, how does Trump communicate once banned from posting on social media? Does he grow a crazy beard, get a crew cut and sunglasses?

  • I’m thankful, because now I know what I must do.

I will discredit, then destroy, every reminder of the past … every picture, every statue, every flag, every book … every idea that does not align with my One and Only True Way.

And then, with the institutions you have put so much blind trust in, create a New Past. Teeming with knowledge, that knows not what it has lost, but what it has been given.

    A grateful society.

You might consider that born out of tyranny … but your neighbors and your children will never know it. Because you will be deplatformed, discredited to irrelevance.

Unable to challenge my New Past.

Slightly off topic but under the “Their Coming for You” heading. Taken from a Jan 27 DOJ Press Release:

Social Media Influencer Charged with Election Interference Stemming from Voter Disinformation Campaign
Defendant Unlawfully Used Social Media to Deprive Individuals of Their Right to Vote

A Florida man was arrested this morning on charges of conspiring with others in advance of the 2016 U.S. Presidential Election to use various social media platforms to disseminate misinformation designed to deprive individuals of their constitutional right to vote.

While the Press Release carefully avoids naming the candidate impacted, news articles reveal the individual targeted potential Hillary Clinton voters.

Our DOJ is on the case:

“This complaint underscores the department’s commitment to investigating and prosecuting those who would undermine citizens’ voting rights……..Protecting every American citizen’s right to cast a legitimate vote is a key to the success of our republic,” said William F. Sweeney Jr., Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI’s New York Field Office.

It is interesting that Senator Dianne Feinstein is also being blacklisted. She used to be a favored Democrat.

    James Street,
That is an excellent list. It is longer than my list, but my list also includes:

    – Democrats, the party of The Trail of Tears.
    – Democrats, the party founded specifically to defend the institution of slavery.
