Readers!

The time has come for my annual short Thanksgiving/Christmas fund drive for Behind The Black. I must do this every year in order to make sure I have earned enough money to pay my bills.

For this two-week campaign, I am offering a special deal to encourage donations. Donations of $200 will get a free autographed copy of the new paperback edition of Genesis: The Story of Apollo 8, while donations of $250 will get a free autographed copy of the new hardback edition. If you desire a copy, make sure you provide me your address with your donation.

As I noted in July, the support of my readers through the years has given me the freedom and ability to analyze objectively the ongoing renaissance in space, as well as the cultural changes -- for good or ill -- that are happening across America. Fourteen years ago I wrote that SLS and Orion were a bad ideas, a waste of money, would be years behind schedule, and better replaced by commercial private enterprise. Only now does it appear that Washington might finally recognize this reality.

In 2020 when the world panicked over COVID I wrote that the panic was unnecessary, that the virus was apparently simply a variation of the flu, that masks were not simply pointless but if worn incorrectly were a health threat, that the lockdowns were a disaster and did nothing to stop the spread of COVID. Only in the past year have some of our so-called experts in the health field have begun to recognize these facts.

Your help allows me to do this kind of intelligent analysis. I take no advertising or sponsors, so my reporting isn't influenced by donations by established space or drug companies. Instead, I rely entirely on donations and subscriptions from my readers, which gives me the freedom to write what I think, unencumbered by outside influences.

Please consider supporting my work here at Behind the Black. You can support me either by giving a one-time contribution or a regular subscription. There are four ways of doing so:

1. Zelle: This is the only internet method that charges no fees. All you have to do is use the Zelle link at your internet bank and give my name and email address (zimmerman at nasw dot org). What you donate is what I get.

2. Patreon: Go to my website there and pick one of five monthly subscription amounts, or by making a one-time donation.

3. A Paypal Donation or subscription:

4. Donate by check, payable to Robert Zimmerman and mailed to

Today’s blacklisted American: Black Congressman blacklisted by Congressional Black Caucus

Banned for not being black or lefitst enough
Congressman Byron Donalds, banned by the
Democratic Party’s Congressional Black Caucus
for not being the “right kind” of black.

Blacklists are back and the Democrats’ have got ’em! Congressman Byron Donalds (R-Florida) has discovered that simply being black is insufficient to qualify for the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC). Apparently he must also be a Democrat and flaming leftist who supports Marxist causes and the racist agenda of Critical Race Theory.

From the first link:

“Since starting in Congress, our office and the Congressman have engaged with several CBC members expressing his interest in joining, but all we’ve gotten is the cold shoulder,” Donalds’ Communications Director, Harrison Fields, told the Daily Caller. The CBC is denying Donalds entrance, individuals familiar with the caucus’s plans reportedly told Buzzfeed News.

From the second link, this statement from the CBC gives their vague explanation why Donalds has been blackballed:

The Congressional Black Caucus remains committed to fighting for issues that support Black communities, including the police accountability bill, protecting voting rights and a jobs bill that helps our communities. We will work with those who share our values and priorities for the constituents that we serve.

The “police accountability bill” is designed to provide support to the “Defund the Police” movement. And the CBC’s definition of “protecting voting rights” is preventing any true election security so that vote tampering by Democrats can be achieved easily and with little scrutiny. As a Republican Donalds opposes such things, which thus disqualifies him for CBC membership, in their eyes.

The irony here is that the CBC is actually taking a non-racist position. It is and has always been a Democratic Party caucus, first and foremost, while hiding behind its so-called racial make-up. By denying this black man entrance it is finally admitting this fact, and putting aside race as a qualification for admittance and making its political position the real criteria.

Of course, the CBC remains bigoted. If a radical leftist white Congressman or woman wished to join they would blacklist them also. First ideology, then race. That’s all this Democratic Party congressional club cares about. Nor are they different than the Democratic Party controlled Congressional Hispanic Caucus:

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus’s bylaws exclude non-Democrats. There was a messy fallout in 2017 when the caucus denied membership to former representative Carlos Curbelo of Florida. The same rules are still in play. “Per Congressional Hispanic Caucus bylaws, all Democratic Members of Congress of Hispanic descent are eligible for CHC membership,” according to a CHC spokesperson.

As I say, ideology first, race second, to these leftist bigots.

Moreover, can you imagine their outrage if anyone tried to from a Congressional White Caucus, limited only to white Republicans? No one should, but the reasons why they shouldn’t illustrate why these Democrat racial caucuses are wrong as well.

Finally, though I applaud Donalds’ desire to communicate and work with his opponents, I also think he is wasting his time. The Democrats today have no interest in bi-partisanship. They want total surrender, or else the right to destroy you so that you can’t oppose them. With such people it is usually pointless to negotiate.

"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

    Mr. Zimmerman,
I listen to you often on John Batchelor’s Podcasts. They are informative and enjoyable, but I really like when you publicize the factual hypocrisy and closed minded behavior of the Democratic Party / Liberal Left.
It’s not news to me, but I hope other similarly-minded people attracted to your space information will see,
maybe for the first time, the truth of these issues.

He’s not the first, nor will he likely be the last.

Rep. JC Watts from Oklahoma received similar treatment.

I think we have to face up to an unpleasant truth. That Congressman Byron Donalds is a racist and may actually be white.

  • Alton

When JC Watts the Great White Racist applied to the BC, they told him NO, Hades No!
But said that it was his duty to pay the $12,000 fee for support of the BC every year from his office allowance.

In other news, my fellow Alabamian Christopher Sign-who broke the Clinton/tarmac story and authored a book about it-sadly is the new Vince Foster. Weaponized stress a likely culprit.

Yes, saw something about that a few days ago.
