TSA supervisor arrests traveler for no reason and then lies about it in court
Does this story make you feel safer? A TSA supervisor had a traveler arrested (after that traveler said he wanted to file a complaint) and then lied about the case under oath in court.
He remains employed as a TSA supervisor.
On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.
The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.
The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.
"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

Just remember: with the TSA, you are presumed guilty unless you can prove your innocence via invasive screening. There is no other agency in the government that is so un-American in its approach to dealing with the American public.
Oh, wait. The IRS is the same. Presumed guilty unless proved innocent.
Also, Robert mentioned civil forfeiture in a recent post. With civil forfeiture, you are presumed guilty, and they don’t bother to let you prove your innocence.
But other than that, we have a completely benevolent government. Although it does direct you as to how to spend your hard-earned money, as in mandatory healthcare insurance, whether or not you can afford it.
And it takes your hard-earned money to pass out to people who do not bother to earn money. But outside of that, government is perfectly nice to us.
Mostly. Kind of. Unless you want to form your own Tea Party or otherwise disagree with the government or people that the government favors over you. Or you want to contribute to “conservative” causes.
Hmm. Maybe we shouldn’t be so surprised that a vindictive, lying, perjurous TSA supervisor (who is supposed to set an example for those whom he supervises) is still on the job.
