David Frazer – The Deal
An evening pause: Watch as the artist creates a work of art, that can be reproduced endlessly..
Hat tip Cotour.
On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.
The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.
The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.
"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News
Cotour-
Nice selection!
This distinctly reminds me of the “Bird’s Eye View” Maps popular during the latter half of the 1800’s.
https://www.loc.gov/collections/panoramic-maps/about-this-collection/
“The panoramic map was a popular cartographic form used to depict U.S. and Canadian cities and towns during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Known also as bird’s-eye views, perspective maps, and aero views, panoramic maps are nonphotographic representations of cities portrayed as if viewed from above at an oblique angle. Although not generally drawn to scale, they show street patterns, individual buildings, and major landscape features in perspective.”
Very cool Big C …
Shared this with my two daughters, as well as grand daughter Christina.
Christina is 13 today, and has an Artist within her just about to blossom.
I followed this artist and I suspect this engraving piece took ~>65 hours according to his other pieces.
He has some very fine and unique pieces. Others, hmm.
I bet that ink causes cancer in california.
