SpaceX successfully launches 4 astronauts into orbit
Capitalism in space: SpaceX early this morning successfully used its Falcon 9 rocket to launch its new capsule, Freedom, carrying four astronauts into orbit and heading to a docking with ISS this evening.
The first stage successfully landed on the drone ship in the Atlantic, completing its fourth flight.
The leaders in the 2022 launch race:
16 SpaceX
11 China
5 Russia
2 ULA
2 Rocket Lab
The U.S. now leads China 23 to 11 in the national rankings. In fact, at this moment the U.S. leads all other nations combined, 23 to 19.
From the press release: In this ground-breaking new history of early America, historian Robert Zimmerman not only exposes the lie behind The New York Times 1619 Project that falsely claims slavery is central to the history of the United States, he also provides profound lessons about the nature of human societies, lessons important for Americans today as well as for all future settlers on Mars and elsewhere in space.
Conscious Choice: The origins of slavery in America and why it matters today and for our future in outer space, is a riveting page-turning story that documents how slavery slowly became pervasive in the southern British colonies of North America, colonies founded by a people and culture that not only did not allow slavery but in every way were hostile to the practice.
Conscious Choice does more however. In telling the tragic history of the Virginia colony and the rise of slavery there, Zimmerman lays out the proper path for creating healthy societies in places like the Moon and Mars.
“Zimmerman’s ground-breaking history provides every future generation the basic framework for establishing new societies on other worlds. We would be wise to heed what he says.” —Robert Zubrin, founder of founder of the Mars Society.

I watched from my front yard roughly 60 miles away. Saw a shooting star about when about a minute into the launch. Heard the rumble in person while stage two was firing on my phone screen.
Hey, Rogozin, want to borrow a broomstick? Close to a 5 to 1 ratio in launches
Technically SpaceX is almost leading the entire world 16 to 19. :)
He has to keep pushing…or like Ford and the Wrights, he will get shoved off to the side himself. There was a writer for a popular TV series who-to get ahead-did something I would have considered unethical. Not stealing…but a false claim. I could not live with myself being a repo man, IRS, man, bail bondsman. We have a lot of people who live off the misery of others. That Musk creates wealth is a blessing. Bezos exploits.
