Fauci: Now an admitted liar as well as incompetent scientist

Fauci: Washington's top liar
Anthony Fauci: the liar-in-chief during
the Wuhan panic

This week Anthony Fauci was brought before a committee in the House of Representatives for closed-door hearings on his actions during the COVID epidemic in 2020-2021. Though supposedly private, the committee has been providing detailed recaps of Fauci’s testimony.

What it has learned is that Fauci was not only a chronic liar during his time as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), he was also utterly incompetent as both a scientist as well as an administrator.

None of this really is news. As early as December 2020 Fauci admitted publicly that he had purposely misstated facts and scientific data for political reasons. Repeatedly I have reported many other examples of his dishonesty and incompetence (see for example these posts from June ’21, April ’22, September ’22, November ’22, and September ’23).

Nonetheless, Fauci’s testimony now is worth reviewing, because it underlines starkly how he misled and misinformed the public, causing great harm for no gain.

First, he admitted in testimony that the demands by him and the government that everyone maintain a six-foot distance during the epidemic was utter garbage, based on no scientific data at all.

In Tuesday’s session, Fauci admitted that the six-foot social distancing recommendation “was likely not based on any data,” according to the committee. “It just sort of appeared,” it wrote, quoting Fauci.

In August 2020 I found evidence suggesting the only source for this absurd rule came from a high school science project. Fauci has now essentially confirmed this, admitting that there is no legitimate science behind the six-foot rule.

Fauci also admitted in his testimony that he never read any of the grants he approved at the health agency he headed, including the grants that sent money to the Wuhan lab in China where the evidence now shows COVID was developed artificially and then accidently (maybe on purpose) released. Yet, reviewing those proposals was his main job!

Fauci also admitted that NIAID, the agency that issued these grants, had no method to conduct any oversight over any of the foreign laboratories it funded.

To put it bluntly, Fauci gave a lot of money to nations that are enemies of the United States, without any review or supervision.

During the testimony Fauci revealed his dishonesty in another way, by responding to questions more than 100 times with “I don’t recall.” This is the easy out for liars, since by making believe they don’t remember they can avoid getting caught in another lie.

That this guy was the head of a government scientific agency for more than forty years that routinely handed out research grants worth in total many billions of dollars illustrates well the overall incompetence and stupidity of our entire federal government for the past half century.

As I noted, none of this is news. It has been plainly evident since the Vietnam War that the federal government has become untrustworthy and a failure, in more ways than can be counted, with that failure growing more evident with greater consequences every year since.

Yet, Americans not only allowed such idiots to remain in charge, they have repeatedly treated them like gods, believing their every word when even the slightest amount of research showed them to be utter frauds.

No wonder the nation now seems to be on the verge of chaos and utter collapse, weighed down by a bankrupt federal government with far too much power that can’t accomplish anything except encourage perversion and provide aid and comfort to our enemies while squelching the freedoms of American citizens. You get the government you ask for. And for more than a half century Americans have nonchalantly acquiesced to — and even eagerly approved of — a bankrupt federal government of losers.

Anthony Fauci is the poster child of those government losers, and a perfect symbol of the kind of government Americans have demanded now for decades.

Genesis cover

On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.

The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.

The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.

"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

Good thing it was a closed door hearing, otherwise we would know what he actually said, instead of taking your word for it.

  • Bosco Bob: 1. It isn’t what I say, it is what the committee members are reporting. Granted it is second hand, but it matches the many other documented examples (which I cite) where Fauci either admitted he lied, or was demonstrated that what he said was false.

    2. Blacklist anyone new in the caving community? Just curious.

  • Fauci, institutional mass murderer?

    Or, great humanitarian?

    https://www.sigma3ioc.com/post/gettin-down-to-the-truth-of-it-fauci

    “We love you, Dr. Fauci”.

  • Tom

Bosco Bob and his brethren surely drank long and deep from the well of Russian Collusion over the years without posing a question as to sources or veracity much less a need for solid evidence. Now we see his instant assault on the integrity and veracity of the writer of a well-documented story which runs counter to his bias-confirmation needs and programming.
IMHO … Bosco Bob is just another Leftist who has sold their soul and on the cheap too.

I’m just glad I didn’t fall for the BS and never got the jab. My blood might be worth a lot of money here pretty soon.

  • pzatchok

I was forced to get the jab twice. But it was because my brother was in a nursing home.
Work required it but didn’t ask for proof until after I git it to see him.

I never masked outside of work and the nursing home and only got the vid mildly one since this all started.

As for the Fauch. He has a face I would ‘most like to slap’. Its that smirk of a smile. Like he thinks he knows more than everyone in the building and thinks your to stupid to know it.

The AIDS activist community accused him of foot-dragging….but those cocktails took time…the six foot rule probably came from the sneeze droplet goes six feet thing.

Me? I’m skeptical of everything—but am also a fatalist.

Bosco–I take it you were one of the the individuals who blackballed Robert over COVID.

While I critique libertarians who would withhold federal funding for certain programs—witholding fellowship is worse.

Even the term “social distancing” is anathema to any real humanist.

Even germophone Howard Stern got the bug.

And for the Karen cavers who fussed about Robert perhaps not taking the shot—how many of you go through all the level 4 hoops and scrubdowns—seeing Marburg came from Kitum Cave?

  • SouthofReality

The 6 foot rule had serious Financial consequences for our private school. Since the desks had to be 6 ft apart you could only fit so many students within a classroom. And that meant we had to rent out additional classroom space. However if it only been 5 ft apart or 4 ft apart we would not have to make that Financial expenditure.

So it annoys me in a very specific and personal way that this POS blows it off in the way he did.

Fauci is not a dunce – as the picture notes, nor an ill informed professional who didn’t know or was misled by others. Let us NOT excuse his behavior during covid with these explanations.

    Fauci is in fact evil.

Among some of the reasons he is evil:
It is because he DID KNOW what he was doing that makes his actions so deplorable.
It is because he worked for and competed for the position he had that put him in the role with the REPONSIBILITY that he wanted that gave him the ability to approve the funding that he did.

Bob, I believe the 6-foot rule and the 3-meter rules (US and Europe) were based in some “science” but were still hunches:

The belief of masking protection was commented on by Chocrane Reviews
    https://www.cochranelibrary.com/cdsr/doi/10.1002/14651858.CD006207.pub6/full

Medical/surgical masks compared to no masks – some excerpts from Chocrane:

We included 12 trials (10 cluster‐RCTs) comparing medical/surgical masks versus no masks to prevent the spread of viral respiratory illness (two trials with healthcare workers and 10 in the community). Wearing masks in the community probably makes little or no difference to the outcome of influenza‐like illness (ILI)/COVID‐19 like illness compared to not wearing masks (risk ratio (RR) 0.95, 95% confidence interval (CI) 0.84 to 1.09; 9 trials, 276,917 participants; moderate‐certainty evidence. Wearing masks in the community probably makes little or no difference to the outcome of laboratory‐confirmed influenza/SARS‐CoV‐2 compared to not wearing masks (RR 1.01, 95% CI 0.72 to 1.42; 6 trials, 13,919 participants; moderate‐certainty evidence). Harms were rarely measured and poorly reported (very low‐certainty evidence).

N95/P2 respirators compared to medical/surgical masks

We pooled trials comparing N95/P2 respirators with medical/surgical masks (four in healthcare settings and one in a household setting). We are very uncertain on the effects of N95/P2 respirators compared with medical/surgical masks on the outcome of clinical respiratory illness (RR 0.70, 95% CI 0.45 to 1.10; 3 trials, 7779 participants; very low‐certainty evidence). N95/P2 respirators compared with medical/surgical masks may be effective for ILI (RR 0.82, 95% CI 0.66 to 1.03; 5 trials, 8407 participants; low‐certainty evidence). Evidence is limited by imprecision and heterogeneity for these subjective outcomes. The use of a N95/P2 respirators compared to medical/surgical masks probably makes little or no difference for the objective and more precise outcome of laboratory‐confirmed influenza infection (RR 1.10, 95% CI 0.90 to 1.34; 5 trials, 8407 participants; moderate‐certainty evidence). Restricting pooling to healthcare workers made no difference to the overall findings. Harms were poorly measured and reported, but discomfort wearing medical/surgical masks or N95/P2 respirators was mentioned in several studies (very low‐certainty evidence).

    Authors’ conclusions
The high risk of bias in the trials, variation in outcome measurement, and relatively low adherence with the interventions during the studies hampers drawing firm conclusions. There were additional RCTs during the pandemic related to physical interventions but a relative paucity given the importance of the question of masking and its relative effectiveness and the concomitant measures of mask adherence which would be highly relevant to the measurement of effectiveness, especially in the elderly and in young children.

There is uncertainty about the effects of face masks. The low to moderate certainty of evidence means our confidence in the effect estimate is limited, and that the true effect may be different from the observed estimate of the effect. The pooled results of RCTs did not show a clear reduction in respiratory viral infection with the use of medical/surgical masks. There were no clear differences between the use of medical/surgical masks compared with N95/P2 respirators in healthcare workers when used in routine care to reduce respiratory viral infection. Hand hygiene is likely to modestly reduce the burden of respiratory illness, and although this effect was also present when ILI and laboratory‐confirmed influenza were analysed separately, it was not found to be a significant difference for the latter two outcomes. Harms associated with physical interventions were under‐investigated.

There is a need for large, well‐designed RCTs addressing the effectiveness of many of these interventions in multiple settings and populations, as well as the impact of adherence on effectiveness, especially in those most at risk of ARIs.

  • Related because it is about power and authoritarian control, and that is what Dr. Fauci was and is IMO a part of:

“And this legislative action in 2024 by states to something that has been roundly denied for many years as even being possible is apparently in response to the talk, which means they intend to implement this method to lessen and or “control” the earth’s atmosphere / climate and “Global Warming”. And good luck with that.”

  • On Dr. Fauci and the various other issues and subjects on going in politics primarily regarding many people here on BTB and their assessments and judgements and on a few other platforms were and are at least 2 or more years ahead of what becomes accepted reality concerning such things.

And all the evidence is archived for much of those slow to realize what is what people right here on BTB.

Facts and evidence are hard to argue with.

And so, who is leading the people?

People are posing as leaders who are not in fact leaders (Joe Biden) but are followers of other men and women’s directions who are bigger and more visionary than they. Most are but controlled tools and facades, most are not true leaders.

Politics: “The dirtiest, filthiest most corrupt and most deadly activity that human beings participate in.”

  • pzatchok

The only safe respirators available are the chemical or paint respirators with full face shields.

Those nice rubber ones with screw on filters. Unless your mask passes the banana smell test its only as good as a hanky. Free floating particles get inhaled around the edges and could also land in your eyes.

Those recommended masks where nothing more than sneeze catchers. But anyone who has ever sneezed in one knows that it just directs the shot back around your own face.

Since I paint cars for fun I have a few of those cartridge style paint masks. I wore one into work one day and the boss told me to no longer do that because it was upsetting(they got triggered) to the other people who were only in those flimsy cloth cardboard things.

Fauci served his purpose admirably. He gave hope and a sense of control to the fearful masses. He gave a very easy way to virtue signal for the weak-minded. He protected and even funded his communist brethren. He allowed certain pharmaceutical entities and their investors to profit immensely. Most importantly of all, is orange man bad president? The Party owes Fauci a great debt of gratitude.

  • Justin

All so true. It’s funny, but months before Covid even had a name, Coast-to- Coast AM, the great conveyor of all things conspiracy, was rep\orting on the unknown plague in Wuhan, and people at the NIAID who worked under Fauci said he could not be trusted. Conspiracy theories, indeed.

  • Luke

You’re taking his claim that he didn’t read the proposals he approved at face value.
Frankly, he does not deserve that benefit of the doubt. He has repeatedly been caught flagrantly lying, especially about the Wuhan Virus Research Center and Gain of Function experiments.

He even authored a paper arguing that the use of masks made the Spanish Flu much more deadly than it otherwise would have been, years before Covid.

    The man lies. Shamelessly. Constantly.

  • Luke:

But it’s for the greater good. You know, the agenda?

The WEF, WHO, U.N., DNC, Sorosian, etc. etc. ala 2030. Time is running out.

It is what must be and anything that fulfills that agenda is justifiable.

And there will be no one to hold anyone accountable for selling out the people of America and the Constitution.

By their own statements and actions: “It must be done at any cost”.

The very existence of the planet depends on their success is their mantra.

And many of them who selectively will provide “Dr”. (Death. “He is the science”) Fauci with deniability believe this 100 percent and are totally committed to it.

When a group comes to be convinced and see their cause as being existential then they can and will justify ANYTHING, up to and including murder.

“Make sense to you? Makes sense if you were planning an internal invasion of your own country and you intended to install into your own military young men who have NO allegiance, alliance or connection to the American Constitution and America and what it structures that is. When a soldier swears fidelity to the Constitution and not an individual, what does that mean to them if they are NOT American and have no philosophical connection to America and the Constitution? ”

Everything and anything to prevail in this pivotal in world history political warfare moment.

Are you paying attention yet America?
